A Guide To buying Your First Brand New Piano

Making a big purchase is always something that should be thought through properly.  Likewise, when you are buying a piano, there are many factors that will come into play.  Budget, space, the level in which you are currently playing at, who else may be playing the piano etc.  Sometimes its not so straightforward!  Don’t worry though with our guide to buying your first new piano, we have thought of everything, you can just sit back and enjoy your brand-new piano!

Reputation is key (no pun intended!)

Sticking with a reputable piano manufacturer is probably one of the best pieces of advice we can give.  Companies like Kawai and Yamaha have been around many years and have perfected their craft because of this.  You are not only going to get a wonderful instrument that will last and last, you will also get a beautifully crafted piece of art.  Both of these manufacturers have made it their companies’ mission to produce nothing, but the best quality money can buy in their field.  They also have a wide selection of pieces to choose from, no matter what your needs are.  Here are a couple of great options of brand-new pianos from each company that would serve you very well!

This is the brand-new GL-10 Series Grand Pianos from Kawai.  This is our best-selling baby grand piano and would be an excellent choice for first time brand new piano buyers!  They were conceived with one goal in mind, to provide exceptional touch and tone that endures.  Comes highly recommended!

If you were thinking of something smaller where space is limited, perhaps you need to be able to play late at night or the rest of the household needs peace! We would suggest the new Yamaha b1 silent piano or the Kawai Any Time.  These hybrid pianos really are the best of both worlds, real, digital, silent with headphones all in one.

Finance options

In short, it gives music-makers the backing they need.  You can apply for a loan in the shop it normally takes less than 10 minutes to complete the application.  In England, you can get an interest-free loan of between £100 and £5,000.  We also offer interest-free loans up to £25,000 to eligible customers over the age of 18.
